8: Hockenheimring, Germany (95 races)
The last motorcycle race was held at Hockenheimring in 1994. It has been more than 2 decades since then, but the ultra-fast circuit was on the GP calendar since the 1950s when it would often host 5 separate classes. F1 still goes there, but MotoGP has stuck to the Sachsenring now. However, it makes the cut for our list of top 10 motorcycle racing circuits.
7: Autodromo del Mugello, Italy (99 races)
Owned by Ferrari and often famously mentioned as “Mugello belongs to Valentino Rossi” because of the number of wins he has got there (7 wins), Mugello has long been home of the Italian GP. It has held every round since 1994. It is narrow, fast and combines speed and cornering. Undoubtedly it is one of the top 10 motorcycle racing circuits of all time. It is also one of the most popular circuits with riders and fans alike, with huge crowds of yellow thronging the stands on race day. Valentino Rossi is pretty much worshiped like a god here.
6: Sachsenring, Germany (109 races)
The home of MotoGP in Germany, Sachsenring has a long history of motorcycle racing, even before the fall of the Berlin Wall. It held the East German race from 1962- 1971. It was originally built as a temporary track on public roads. Now, a permanent circuit and also one of the most interesting ones in the season. You have to be at Sachsenring among the crowds to know how it feels like. We love watching the races on this circuit. What about you? Hence it makes the cut for our list of the top 10 motorcycle racing circuits.
