Los Angeles bike builder Max Hazan is renowned for building some of the most beautiful and recognizable motorcycles on the planet. His latest motorcycle ‘The Musket’ is certainly one that is beautiful. Take a look at the short film below that details the process of the bike being conceptualized and built. The Musket might be the one of the most beautiful custom motorcycle ever!
The Musket is a custom built motorcycle. The engine, or well, engines, are two royal Enfield 500cc engines brought together to create a 1000cc v-twin. With about 55hp and a 6.5:1 compression, it is not an overly fast bike, but speed was not the agenda for this one. The tires, wheels and the engine were the only pieces that were purchased. Every other part was hand made. Following the engine’s lead, the shape of the tank, the angles in the frame, the pipes and everything else was mocked up. It was later tweaked, scrapped and redone until their lines, shape and position were perfection incarnate.
While those huge tires may not really help you turn the bike quickly, they are certainly aesthetically pleasing. The spoked wheels are certainly a looker. Add that retro looking saddle and the bike is definitely a crowd pleaser. All that chrome makes it shine like the sun and those little wooden touches on the seat, the gear shifter really make this motorcycle unique. The wooden seat is coated in around 15 layers of polyurethane lacquer and polished to be perfect. It is all in the details, they say. This custom motorcycle proves it.
