Maruti-Suzuki unveiled the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza at the auto expo. The Vitara Brezza is a compact SUV and is to compete with the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is the first Maruti-Suzuki product that has been completely developed by Maruti. The Vitara Brezza will be available in six variants according to the company.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.3 liter DDiS 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 88.7 hp @ 4000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque @ 1750 rpm. The transmission is a 5-speed manual. Only the diesel variant is available as of now.
The Vitara Brezza comes with a dual tone paint scheme with a contrasting roof colour. It measures 3995mm in length, 1790mm in width and 1640mm in height. The wheel base is 2500mm. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza features 16-inch alloy wheels and tire size of 215/60 R16. The ground clearance is 198mm. Additional features include LED DRLs, projector headlamps and turn signal indicators integrated on the rear view mirrors.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has a boot space of 328 liters. Standard features on all variants include electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, front power windows, tilt steering and engine immobilizer. Safety features include ABS, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and dual front airbags. They are standard on the LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+ variants. The top of the line model, the ZDi+ features a SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system as standard.

Maruti-Suzuki is planning media and promotional activities of the Vitara Brezza starting March 2016, before launching it in April, according to the company.
