Mahindra XUV Aero design concept has been showcased at the Auto Expo. The XUV Aero is a new design study which Mahindra is intent on taking into production based on the feedback it receives from the public. Mahindra XUV Aero was styled by Mahindra and built by Pininfarina, the Italian specialty automotive vehicle designer and manufacturer. Mahindra now owns Pininfarina.
Mahindra XUV Aero is powered by the mHawk engine with a next generation turbocharger that produces 210 hp. The XUV Aero features an advanced combustion system for low pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) which reduces diesel emissions. According to Mahindra, the XUV Aero is capable of achieving 0 – 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds.
Mahindra XUV Aero is a design study of a coupe inspired four door crossover. It is the first mid-sized sports crossover from Mahindra. It draws many design cues from the Mahindra XUV 500 SUV. The influence of the XUV 500 can be observed in the headlamps, hood and the sculpted lines. The XUV Aero concept also features new LED DRLs, hood vents, a sportier body kit and large alloy rims. The design is dynamic, with a sloping roof, LED tail lights and a diffuser.
