The Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 is the upcoming supercar from the Italian manufacturer. It is due to be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show early March. What appear to be patent designs of this new Lamborghini have surfaced. From the images, the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 does not look as radical or sharp as the Veneno does, but it is still ultra-exclusive and ultra-expensive. Lamborghini plans to build 20 coupes and 20 roadsters and they have already been sold out. While the price for the coupe and the roadster are not known individually, the Centenario is speculated to cost $2.3million each. Check out the Lamborghini Centenario patent images.
The newest Lamborghini could well be a sight to behold, if the patent images are any indication. It would probably look impressive in the flesh. While the patent images seem to leave a lot to be desired and the rear end looks plain ugly in the images, Lamborghini calls this its ‘definition of a hyper car’. The front and rear overhangs are long and the roofline is heavily sloped at the back. The Centenario is based on the Lamborghini Aventador. As the name suggests, it is the model to celebrate 100 years since the birth of the company’s founder Ferruccio Elio Arturo Lamborghini.
The Lamborghini Centenario is powered by a naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12 engine that generates 759bhp. It features an all-wheel drive system linked by a seven speed ISR transmission. The Centenario is expected to achieve the 0-100kmph romp in under 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 350kmph. We cannot wait to see this car in the flesh in less than two weeks at the Geneva Motor Show. Fingers crossed that the rear is not as ugly as the images make it out to be.
