Honda is synonymous for its expertise with cars and motorcycles. The Japanese manufacturer now seems to be taking its expertise with 2 and 4 wheels and combining them into one. Meet the ‘Project 2&4’. The Honda Project 2&4 is a concept that was first showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. According to Honda, it combines the thrilling elements of riding a motorcycle with the most engaging characteristics of driving a car. Project 2&4 is the winner of an in-house contest between Honda’s car and bike designers, based in Asaka and Wako, Japan respectively. Project 2&4 is powered by the same engine that powers Honda’s MotoGP bike, the RC213V. The engine is modified to run on public roads. The 999cc V4 engine is compact and lightweight. It generates more than 212 hp with a 14000 rpm red line. Transmission is a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox with paddle shifters. Project 2&4 weighs in at just over 400 kg, tipping the scales at 405 kg.
