The Arash AF10 has debuted at the Geneva Motor Show. It may be the most powerful hypercar at the motorshow, with over 2000hp. The AF10 is the product of the small British automaker Arash. With the Bugatti Chiron and the Koenigsegg Regera making nearly 1500hp or more, the Arash just beat the competition without breaking a sweat.
The Arash AF10 gets its massive 2080 horsepower output from a combination of engine and electric motors. The 6.2 liter supercharged V8 engine generates 900 hp. The electric motors, there is a quartet of them, generate another 1180hp. With all that horsepower to play around with, you would expect the Arash AF10 to smoke the Bugatti and the Koenigesegg before they even get going. Strangely enough, it doesn’t. The AF10 hits the 0-100kmph mark in 2.8 seconds. That is fast, but doesn’t better the cars it is expected to take on, which is a bit of a disappointment. Top speed is just over 300kmph, at 323kmph. Bummer, really.
While these are mighty impressive figures, and ones which were thought to be impossible only a few years ago, it should not take that much power to get there. But it is indeed amazing to see small outfits like Arash, limited as they are in resources to take the best of what they can get and make the most of it too. It has been priced at $1.55 million.
