2016 Ducati Hypermotard 939 Details Announced

The 2016 Ducati Hypermotard 939 has been announced by the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. The Hypermotard 939 is also available as the Hypermotard 939SP and the HyperStrada 939 versions. All the three variants of the motorcycle are powered by a 937cc Testastretta V-twin that’s Euro IV emissions compliant. The engine generates 113hp and 98Nm of torque.


The Hypermotard offers high levels of performance that is easily accessible for the experienced rider. The Hypermotard has the latest Ducati technology such as ABS, 8-level Traction Control and three riding modes. There is a 43mm Kayaba USD fork at the front and adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear. The Hypermotard gets a steel-tube trellis frame and single-sided aluminum frame. The wheels are 17-inch alloys with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tires.

The Hypermotard 939SP gets a fully adjustable 48mm USD Ohlins fork at the front and a fully adjustable Ohlins monosuspension at the rear. The Hypermotard gets a slightly increased ride height for racetrack oriented performance. It has 17-inch alloys with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP rubber.


The Hyperstrada 939 is a touring-oriented motorcycle. It gets all the standard equipment of the Hypermotard 939. The Hyperstrada 939 gets a pair of 50-liter semi-rigid removable bags and a centerstand. The Hyperstrada 939 has raised handlebars and a touring windshield. There are 2 12V power sockets. The saddle is wider which offers increased comfort over longer distances. It gets grab rails for the pillion seat.

There are also a wide range of Ducati accessories for the Hypermotard and the Hyperstrada 939. The accessories include a titanium-and-carbon Termignoni exhaust system that offers a claimed 5% increase in power and torque output. The ‘Sport Package’ offers various billet aluminum and carbonfiber parts. There is also carbon fiber headlight fairing and center tank cover, billet aluminum rider footrests, heated grips, soft luggage and anti-theft kit.
