10 Amazing Supercars on the Planet Today!

Supercars can be measured on the basis of many different categories, from power to performance, value to comfort, from speed to the brand name. While anyone talks about a supercar, the undeniable question that everyone chases is the speed. However, what makes a supercar a supercar is not just its top speed. It’s also the exclusivity, the technology and the radical design that goes hand in hand. Supercars have long since pushed the barriers of automotive technology and rightly so and today we’ve compiled the list of 10 Amazing Supercars on the Planet.

This is our list of the 10 amazing supercars on the planet today:

Yes, it is the Ferrari with the silly name. The LaFerrari is one of the lightest ever Ferrari cars to roll out of the Italian manufacturer’s factories. With a 950 bhp V-12 engine coupled with an electric power-train, the LaFerrari is a serious machine, capable of reaching speeds in excess of 120 mph in just under 7 seconds. A worthy successor of the Ferrari Enzo, the LaFerrari is the fastest road car that Ferrari has ever produced, at 350 kmph (217 mph).

With emission output at 60% of typical supercar emissions, the LaFerrari is taking Ferrari on the road to being environmentally friendly. The hybrid system is based on the KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) that is used in the Formula One cars. With only 499 LaFerraris being produced, all of them were sold out just after release in 2014, even with Ferrari’s strict ownership policy of over 1.15 million each. Zoinks! This is why it’s in our list of 10 amazing supercars on the planet.

Koenigsegg One:1

Koenigsegg One1

One of the most potent supercars to roll out from the Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg is the One:1. Why this name, you ask? The One:1 has a hp-to-kg curb weight ratio of 1:1. Called the “dream equation” which was previously deemed impossible, the One:1 is the first homologated production car in the world with one Megawatt of power (1341 hp), making it the world’s first series produced “Megacar”. The One:1 goes from a dead stop to  402 kmph (250 mph) in 20 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 439 kmph (273 mph).

The One:1 comes with unique track optimized aero winglets, active wing configuration, and other unique technological features such as carbon fiber wheels, suspension, that make the One:1 one of the most amazing supercars… sorry, Megacar on the planet. The One:1 is environmentally friendly as well, being capable of running on E85 biofuel, race fuel, or normal gasoline. Only seven examples and one prototype were built during 2014 and 2015. Now what was the world that I was searching for? Åh Herre Gud! For all these reasons and more it makes to our list of 10 Amazing Supercars on the Planet.

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale

Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale

“The Final” it is called. This is what happens after being 10 years in production, and when it is time to call it quits, Bugatti decided to go out with a bang. The Bugatti Veyron La Finale is 1182 hp (882 kW) of bang. Costing at around $2.6 million, the Veyron has a W-16 (yes, 16 cylinders) engine that will accelerate your fears from 0 – 100 kmph in 2.6 seconds. The top speed is 408 kmph (253 mph). The Bugatti is one of the fastest supercars on the planet.

A rocket on wheels is what you can describe the Bugatti Veyron as. The Veyron is 1,200 hp of fun and mayhem. The rear spoilers deploy lightning fast, to make sure this rocket is stable at high speeds. The engine is one of a kind, the tires are one of a kind, and the car is one of a kind as well, which makes it eligible to be on our list of 10 amazing supercars on the planet. The Veyron’s successor is the Bugatti Chiron. Expect it to be one of a kind too.
